Doncaster Secondary College

In Term 2, we delivered a 3-module program focused on building leadership in teenage girls. In collaboration with Mattel, we invited female role models who have years of experience in leadership to come and inspire these girls. The girls enjoyed speed networking sessions with role models, and came out more motivated to become leaders!

  • Shekilar Ramalingam - Telecommunications

“We can’t be, what we can’t see” Or can we.
Serena (Williams) and Mindy (Kaling) prove otherwise, hence my role models.
Trailblazers who ‘served out’ and ‘rewrite’ what’s possible (puns, intended)
They reflect courage, authenticity and grace, in creating their unique success story.

  • Yong-Li Zhou, Cosmetics and Personal Care - Retail - Wholesale - Manufacturing

“My biggest role model in life is my mother, Nan Chen (Co-Founder of Enbacci). I grew up watching her work tirelessly—not only managing several high-end luxury retailers but also building one business after another. Despite facing many hardships in her early life, she always taught me to lead with kindness and compassion. She constantly reminded me that success isn’t just about personal achievements but about how you uplift others along the way.”

  • Claire Wilson, PwC, Management Team

“I deeply admire Dame Kelly Holmes. She embodies self-determination, resilience and humility. Despite many setbacks, she persevered to claim double Olympic titles in both the 800m and 1500m athletics events. Her dedication and grace in victory inspire me to stay focused, work hard and remain humble through all challenges and successes.”
